Award Patches

New award patches are now included with Tenure (for all Parts and Service management and staff) and Master Technician awards.

Each dealer will receive 5 patches for each of their award winners, unless they have requested to receive specific numbers instead. Dealers may request specific numbers of patches to receive for their award winners by contacting info@hondaprofessionals.com Dealers may order additional patches for staff who have earned Tenure or Master Technician awards in the past by contacting info@hondaprofessionals.com. Adding patches to your work uniforms

We highly recommend having a professional (tailor, alterations service, etc.) add the patches to your work uniforms. The key is consistency - place patches in the same locations on the shirt for all staff.

Preferred patch locations:

• Tenure patch - Left sleeve (shown above)
• Master Technician patch - Left sleeve (shown above) or Chest (right side) if left sleeve is not available

Recommended Guidelines for Adding Patches

Things You'll Need:

• Heat transfer patch
• Iron

Instructions:

• 1. Set the iron to the hottest setting. Disable the steam setting and use a dry iron.
• 2. Once the iron is heated, press (iron) the area on the receiving item where the transfer is to be placed.
• 3. Position the transfer on the pressed area of the receiving item.
• 4. Press and hold the iron lightly on the patch for a few seconds. The heat from the iron will activate the adhesive substance and permanently attach the transfer to the cloth.
• 5. Slightly move the iron back and forth over the transfer for about one minute.
• 6. Check the edges of the transfer. If the edges are not secured to the cloth, repeat Steps 4 and 5 until the transfer is securely adhered to the cloth. Remember, the patch must be able to endure several launderings so make sure there is good contact between the transfer and the cloth.

Tips & Warnings

• The edges may loosen after a few washings. To avoid this, it is recommended that you stitch the patch onto the garment with a needle and thread.
• Stop immediately and remove the iron from the surface if you notice a burning smell. The smell of burning cloth means either the cloth or the transfer is melting.
